Here is a quick post about a great little rant/article about session beer that was posted by a chap that calls himself Ding. I ran across his twitter feed, and this his blog, just as BeerAdvocate.com was in the process of revoking his membership on their website.
While I feel that I am often at odds with some of this beer blogger's opinions, he is very knowledgeable on the subject of beer, and makes some good points about the American use of session as a descriptor of beers that exceed a 4% abv. Definitely worth a peek.
